'Memories Remembered' FoRe! Samuel by Imani Jackson
|
Samuel I met Samuel August 14, 2010 at the senior home
in Canoga Park, Ca. he told me all kinds of stories. He was born February 22,1918, he has 8 members in his family. When he
was growing up he loved to play baseball and he made lots of friends playing sports, but now he loves to listen to classic
music.
He loved milky way when he was a kid, but now he is diabetic so he cant have it as often. his favorite memory
that he wants to remember is when his children were born. There was a girls and boys organization ages 16-27 , that's where
he met his first wife. her name is Eva. they got married and had 3 kids 2 girls and one boy. The oldest girls name is Juliene
and she is 65 years old she was born in 1943. She was a professor in nursing in San Francisco for 33 years! She received a
phd in medical anthropology. Juliene was married to an attorney named Christopher they have two sons Trevor, and Colin he
is married and teaches in Sacramento. His youngest daughter Annette was born 1946 in new york. She's a percussionist, basically
she entertains at kid party's. I couldn't find out much info on his son Steven but i do know that he was a professional photographer.
His second wife was with Samuel for a year and then they got divorced, he said because she found someone better.
His third wife met him at a meeting and they had no children. They were married in 1976. She already had 4 daughters
with someone else. Her oldest daughter's name is Barbra she is a vice dean at UCLA. She's married to a man named Christo form
Greese. The 2 oldest daughters had two kids who's grandfather died before they were born so Samuel acted like there grandfather
since they was born. The 3rd daughter robin is single she got married and then a divorced, and she had no kids. The 4th daughter
Susan had one son Justin, but Samuel didn't see him very much, after he got older.
Every time we would go and see
Samuel he would love to play this word game.So Samuel would find some long word like "plenipotentiary", we would
make as much words as possible but it had to be more than two letters. He laughs, like he is embarrassed whenever we find
more words than he does but gets very excited when he beats us! He also teaches us about the countries in south America and
the states of the United States. I love going to see Samuel every weekend. We give him an hour out of our weekend and it makes
his whole week brighter.
